New Bicycle! I’m going fixie (=

So, I am breaking form and posting a totally personal blog. It’s my blog I can do what I want (=
I just got my new bike! It’s a fixed gear/single speed bike with a flip-flop hub. It came mostly assembled, and I only had a few minor issues, but it’s together, and man is it awesome. It’s my first single speed, and after riding it up and down the large hill by our house I can say I am totally stoked! So much nicer than having to shift. The bike is lighter than a paperweight and is a total rocket… so fast. And on saturday I flip the wheel to go fixed gear (=

Green Bay Pet Photographer: Snow Puppy

I plan on taking more of these, but I’ve been working so many days it’s been tough. I just had to get a couple up here, cuz my lil’ girl is so darn cute!
There’s nothing quite like a dog with snow on her nose!
On another note, we finally found out what she is!!!
When my wife and I adopted Riley, she was 8 weeks, and listed as a labrador retriever. About a year later she maxed
out at about 40lbs, and we continued our wondering of what she was mixed with. Don’t get me wrong, she’s the perfect size for us! We just wanted to know.
Well, I was online looking at some doggy stationery to send handmade notes to my wonderful clients (= and found a silhouette of a smooth fox terrier and I just knew. So I looked at pictures and did some research and am about 97.3% sure that our Ri-ri is a labrador/smooth fox terrier. There may be something else in there, but those are the big ones! Hooray! We love her. Anyways, with no more delays, Snow Puppy!
Oh, and one with no snow, but was just too cute not to post (=

Green Bay Photographer: The Great Storm of 2010

Hey all! I’ve been in a total rut lately, no bookings, no shoots, struggling with depression and trying to figure things out, doubting myself and my abilities. It’s been a tough couple of weeks. I’ve needed some motivation, and some pictures to make me realize I should still be doing this. We had a hell of a storm today, rain like I have seriously never seen before, and I’ve been in plenty of storms, couple of tornadoes included. I got completely soaked standing on a sidewalk as cars passed by washing walls of water over me. It was awesome. I don’t know if I’m totally back or out of the storm yet, but it’s a start. Any way, here’s pictures.

Door County Vacation Photographer

This past weekend my wife and I went on the Annual Lichterman Family Camping Trip. 30 years running! That’s five more years than I have been alive. We hang out, drink some beers, play some games, (I took 2nd in the annual cribbage tournament!) and just have a great time seeing family we don’t get to see often. It was great, and also a fun time for me to shoot whatever I wanted. One of Alicia’s cousins is starting to take pictures so family photo pressure was lessened and I just photographed whatever. I did do a family shoot (more on that later).

Anyways… Photos!

#9 in the tent village. It was interesting…

Alicia’s parents dog, Dakota! He’s an old-timer now, but still as lovable as ever.

We traveled into Egg Harbor to watch the sunset.

Sunset over Egg Harbor, I kinda like  the construction. It makes for an interesting horizon.
