Hey all,
today was my first day helping out at the Bay Area Humane Society! Barb LaPlante has been working with her daughter Katie over the past few years to help take awesome photos for the animals at the shelter, especially cats and dogs. They get new animals in every day, so there’s a lot of work to do.
There are a lot of things I hope to accomplish with this business, and helping homeless animals is definitely one of them! People often say that the pictures they see influence which animals they choose, and Barb has been making sure that happens over the past couple years. Her daughter is going to college soon in the future, and I am going to be working with her/backing her up with taking these photos, and hopefully soon (if I find a good assistant) will be doing photos when Barb cannot. So many of these animals need good homes, and I am totally thrilled to be a part of seeing that that happens.
I didn’t get a lot of awesome shots today, mainly because a lot of these animals are a bit scared and adjusting to new people, and I didn’t want to distract them and keep Barb from getting the photos, but I did snap a few, and I wanted to share them with you!
This guy is Shep. Super friendly and playful!

And this little cutey is Petunia! What a lover (=

I unfortunately didn’t get this little pals name or gender, but wow. Soooooooooo loveable (=

Last, but not least is Marley. I know, that name makes me a little weepy, but she is awesome! She has hip dysplasia, so she needs a little extra care, but she’s got tons of love to give!

She was a bit more interested in digging snow than posing (=

If you need a new friend, there are even a whole lot more that need families! Thanks for looking (=
